Claremont Appoints Curriculum Director and HR Director

Last Wednesday, the Claremont School Board voted to appoint Kerry Kennedy as the Director of Curriculum, Instruction, and Assessment, starting with the 2026-2027 school year.
“Ms. Kennedy is owed a tremendous debt of gratitude by the entire school community for her tireless work with the board to guide the school community through an unprecedented year of turmoil,” said incoming superintendent Dr. Tim Broadrick. “Ms. Kennedy will be able to hit the ground running in this curriculum role – she’s spent the year building important relationships with building leaders and staff in the schools. I’m looking forward to working with her.”
Ms. Kennedy was appointed as the Claremont Middle School principal in July 2025 before volunteering to serve as the SAU 6 interim superintendent. She will wrap up her term as interim superintendent on June 31, 2026, and Dr. Broadrick will officially take the reins on July 1.
In addition, the school board named Amy Tallman Savage as the human resources director that evening, and she will start in that role on July 1, 2026. Ms. Savage has served as the Hanover/SAU 70 Director of HR for the last fourteen years.
Ms. Savage brings deep expertise in building processes that will make sure Claremont complies with legal and regulatory requirements. In previous roles, Ms. Savage chaired her school districts’ joint loss committees while administering insurance, retirement, and benefits programs. She also developed efficient employee hiring, onboarding, and exit procedures; and worked closely with schools and administrators to track professional development and salary scales. The systems she developed combined to contribute information critical to budget planning. Ms. Savage earned a Bachelor of Science in Human Resources from Granite State College and is a SHRM Senior Certified Professional.
“I believe Ms. Savage will be an invaluable addition to our leadership team,” said Broadrick. “She has a very ‘human’ approach to human resources. She builds systems that meet the needs of the people who make up our school community.”
