Claremont Agrees to Contract with New Superintendent

April 21, 2026 (CLAREMONT) – On Tuesday, April 21, 2026, the Claremont School Board signed a two-year contract with Dr. Timothy Broadrick as the new Superintendent of Schools for the Claremont School District. Dr. Broadrick's start date will be July 1, 2026, and he plans to spend time in the district each week from now until that date. Interim Superintendent Kerry Kennedy will remain in her position until July 1.
“I see a lot of opportunity for rapid progress in Claremont. I think together we can quickly implement sound management practices in the central office and put the focus back on student learning in the upcoming year,” said Dr. Broadrick. “What happens between teachers and kids in the schools is what really matters. Everything else is there to support that.”
Since July of 2019, Dr. Broadrick has been the superintendent of schools for The Prospect Mountain Schools, which cover SAU 72, 86, and 301. These SAUs serve Alton and Barnstead in central New Hampshire. Prior to his role in the Granite State, Dr. Broadrick served as the Superintendent-Director of Shawsheen Valley Regional Vocational Technical School in Billerica, Massachusetts, from 2015-2019, where he was also a graphic arts instructor before advancing into school leadership as the director of technical programs. Dr. Broadrick has also worked in the private sector.
In 2022, Dr. Broadrick earned his Doctorate of Education from the University of New England in Maine. He holds a master’s degree in education with a concentration in organizational leadership. Dr. Broadrick has been a board member of the Massachusetts Partnerships for Youth, Inc., and served on the Conservation Commission of the City of Amesbury, Massachusetts. Dr. Broadrick currently resides in Eliot, Maine.
